We have a few training opportunities coming up regarding TRT. This will enable our personnel to become more proficient and/or work towards their goal of making the team and/or becoming instructors. This fall drill, November 15,16 and 17, is a great chance to get some hands on co-instructing experience. Brian Dalton will be an evaluator at the “hot switch’’ station and I will be at pt. packaging. If anyone would like to co-instruct with us, they are encouraged to do so.
Brain’s station is geared more towards technician level operations and mine can be either. If you’re a tech you’ll be at this drill and going through all stations, so let us know and you can take the lead while at our station. If you’re operations level and would like to volunteer your time, come out and you can take lead with our help, or simple participate at you own pace. We will be operating out of the 5th edition FOG, which is very similar to the 4th edition. If you have questions please email me and cc Brian if you plan on helping with the “hot switch”. This is aimed at getting more participation and increasing the knowledge of all personnel, so regardless of your skill level, you’re welcomed to attend. No SD or OT pay is associated with this training, but if you can plan it through your on duty staffing please do, or simply come out on your days off. Drill is at Watson Lake, Upper Ramada, at 0900 and the parking code is 7771774, just enter it at the kiosk.
