Mohave County Fire Officers Association
– Appointed by President Donald J. Trump. as
the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s United States Fire
Administrator for the United States Fire Administration. He is
responsible for managing the United States Fire Administration,
the programs and training activities at the National Emergency
Training Center. Prior to his Presidential appointment he was the
Chief of the Oklahoma City Fire Department He is the past
president of the International Association of Fire Chiefs,
Metropolitan Fire Chiefs Association, and the Oklahoma Fire
Chiefs Association.
– Currently serving as the Fire and Emergency
Medical Services Academic Program Director with Columbia
Southern University as well as Fire Chief of the Beulah Fire
District in Valley Alabama. Having retired as the Chief-Fire
Marshal for the Fulton County Fire- Rescue Department, Keith is
a 36-year member of the fire service. He has completed the
Executive Fire Officer Program through the National Fire
Academy. He holds a Master of Science Degree in Leadership
with an Emphasis in Disaster Preparedness and Executive Fire
Leadership, as well as the Chief Fire Officer Destination.
– Fire Chief at the US Air Force Academy,
Colorado. He ensures safe and effective response to more than
1,000 emergency incidents each year leading 68 firefighters,
providing support for more than 4,000 Cadets and over 800,000
visitors each year. He has an Associate’s Degree in Fire Science,
a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Management and a
Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership. Chief Helgerson
also volunteers for The First Twenty, a non-profit organization
focused on improving the health and wellness of more than 1.1
million firefighters.
– David has over two decades of firefighting
experience that spans both wildland firefighting in the southwest,
to structure firefighting in the northeast. As founder of the non
profit The First Twenty he was the author of the nation’s first ever
national fitness and wellness program for firefighters. He served
as a health coach for two ground breaking clinical trials in first
responder health powered by FEMA and the NIH that covered
thousands of first responders coast to coast. David was also the
2017 Firefighter Combat Challenge World Champion in the Over
50 Men’s Relay.
– Currently he is President of the International
Association of Fire Chiefs, and also serving as the Fire Chief for
the City of Rogers, Arkansas since 2009. He holds a bachelor’s
degree in fire protection and safety engineering from Oklahoma
State University, and a master’s degree in public administration
from the University of Oklahoma. Chief Jenkins is a 2006
graduate of the Executive Fire Officer Program at the National
Fire Academy and became Arkansas’s first Chief Fire Officer
Designee from the Commission on Professional Credentialing in
2010.
